But wait, it's not entirely about greed. There are lots of reasons to contribute; you'll be able to specify where you want your funds to go.

The obvious reason is to help defray the costs of this site, but there are several more......

We have a policy of giving at least 10% of our gratuity income to organizations which help protect the lands over which we fly, the Alaskan wilderness. These include the Nature Conservancy of Alaska and The Alaska Conservation Foundation. You may earmark as much as you like toward that end.

Should you decide to purchase photos from our photographers you'll be helping them continue to do what they love. By designating them in your donation you can show appreciation as well.

If you appreciated the music, we can funnel funds to David Henderson (Around Denali) or Bob Long (Alaskan Earthquake.)

And here's the least obvious and perhaps tackiest reason to chip in:
If Chicken Bill, the pilot, didn't get tips he would have to get a real job!
So if you flew with us and thought it would be insulting to tip somebody who obviously loves his work (and yes we consciously don't harangue you in person) HERE'S YOUR LAST CHANCE.

But, all kidding aside, we really appreciate all forms of thanks -- none more than looking over our shoulder in the airplane and seeing the looks on our passengers' faces as we travel through the most amazing terrain on the planet.

But when we get back on the ground we've still got bills to pay.
